Hebei Polytechnic University has 8 teaching posts available for English and Japanese native speakers who have Bachlor degree or above. The prospective teachers will teach courses such as English/Japanese conversation, reading, writing and video and occasionally required to give open lectures on cultural topics.
Work Description and Benefits:

The foreign teacher¡¯s average workload is no more than 16 hours/week. The minimum monthly salary is RMB 4000 yuan and it will be paid on the 5th monthly from the day of starting work to the expiration of the contract. In case the time is shorter than a whole month, the payment shall be counted by day. The daily wage shall be 1/30 of the monthly salary (the same with February). The foreign teacher shall pay the personal income tax in accord with the Personal Income Tax Law of The People¡¯s Republic of China.

Any extra work should be agreed to by the foreign teacher and paid RMB 50 Yuan/hour by the university. It is the obligation of the foreign teacher to make up the uncompleted classes assigned. Otherwise, RMB 50 Yuan/hour should be paid to the university or may be deducted from any money due to the foreign teacher.

The university will offer the foreign teacher a two-bedroomed flat (rent free) with furniture, bedding, computer accessible to internet, washing machine, telephone, television, refrigerator, toilet, air conditioner, telephone (self-paid). The foreign teacher should live in the on-campus flat offered by the university. Otherwise, the foreign teacher has to live at the cost of his/her own.

The university will purchase the health insurance, in-patient treatment insurance, accident injury insurance, and out-patient/emergency insurance for the foreign teacher. The university has no more responsibilities to pay any other fees of the medical examination or medical treatment. All the other medical expenditure will be paid by the foreign teacher.

The university will pay for the residence permit and the medical examination done in China, for the working paperwork purpose.

The foreign teacher can get a return air ticket reimbursement of international economy class for the nearest distance between China and the country of the foreign teacher. Or the amount of the travel allowance will be checked with the airlines by the university and paid to the foreign teacher each year if no air ticket is provided.

A travel stipend of RMB 1100 Yuan will be paid by the university to the foreign teacher at the completion of each semester of teaching.

The foreign teacher is entitled to the following holidays and festivals in China. New Year¡¯s Day, Spring Festival, May Day, National Day, Christmas and other holidays by laws and regulations. The foreign teacher under one academic year contract is entitled to a paid (winter or summer) vacation.

The sick leaves asked by the foreign teacher should amount to less than 30 days within one contract term (one year or one academic year). In case the leaves exceed 30 days, the university has the right to terminate the contract.

Private affairs leave of the foreign teacher with the university¡¯s permission shall not exceed 10 days. The continuous private affairs leave shall be no more than 3 days.
